It's ingrained in us that if we aren't good at something straight away there's no point in continuing. But you won't improve if you don't try, and you have to pick up the brush and just paint! Think you're not creative enough to be an artist? Not true! Everyone is creative in their own way and anyone can enjoy painting.

You have to be ok with messing up and painting a lot of ugly art to be a good artist! I make ugly paintings all the time. It means you're pushing yourself outside your comfort zone. You're learning and trying.

I’m so happy that Lauren has offered this course and shared her talent with us for 6 weeks. Not only was the course well taught, each class was also so well planned (emails went out in advance with important details) and Lauren made sure she answered every student’s question live while she was teaching and checking in with them for follow ups. I’ve been painting on my own for about 3 years and, though this class is slated for beginners, it taught me so much that I didn’t know- on top of teaching us how to paint each week’s subject, she also shared super helpful brushwork techniques and the right way to prep your palettes, amongst many other great artist tips. I would 100% recommend investing in yourself and your art, and registering for her next course!

I absolutely LOVED this course! I'm completely new to watercolor, and have never taken a course or painted before. It was so easy to follow along with Lauren each week, and I loved that she provided the supplies list well in advance. Each week was different and we were able to build on techniques we had learned in the weeks prior. I looked forward to class every Sunday, and it was so laid back and fun. How does it work?

Let's break down what all is included!

  • Just Paint includes 6 live classes! We begin on Sunday, June 20th and the live classes are every Sunday with a break for 4th of July

  • Every Monday the live class will be uploaded to the learning portal along with a PDF with step-by-step instructions and key notes and tips from that week’s lesson!

  • Since the classes are live, you’re able to ask questions in real time! And if a questions pops up during the week, you can still ask it in the comments!

  • You can rewatch the classes as many times as you like and you have lifetime access to the recordings and materials from the course!

  • Bonus! If you sign up on June 8th you'll access to my tips and tricks for how to fix a painting AND and in-depth look at color to water ratio!
